Contributor Bio(s): De La Torre, Cristina: - Cristina de la Torre was born in Cuba and moved to the United States as a child. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, Florida, and her Ph.D. in Spanish from Emory University. She spent several years in Madrid, Spain, where she was inspired to begin her dual career as professor of Spanish and literary translator.Grant Cash, Annette: - Annette Grant Cash teaches Spanish at Georgia State University where she is also the Director of the Translation and Interpretation Program. Her BA and MA degrees are in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her PhD is in Romance Linguistics from The Ohio State University.Garcia Serrano, M. Victoria: - M. Victoria Garcia Serrano (Conquista de la Sierra, Spain) studied Hispanic Philology-Linguistics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She received her PhD in Contemporary Latin American Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her areas of research are literary theory and writing by Hispanic women authors.
