Victoria Garcia Serrano (Conquista de la Sierra, Spain) studied Hispanic Philology-Linguistics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She received her PhD in Contemporary Latin American Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her areas of research are literary theory and writing by Hispanic women authors.De La Torre, Cristina: - Cristina de la Torre was born in Cuba and moved to the United States as a child. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, Florida, and her Ph.D. in Spanish from Emory University.
