Contributor Bio(s): Kaplan, Daniel M.: - Daniel M. Kaplan received his Ph.D. in Physics in 1979 from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He has taught electronics laboratory courses for non-electrical-engineering majors over a fifteen-year period at Northern Illinois University and at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he is currently Professor of Physics and Director of the Center for Accelerator and Particle Physics.
