The villages - Kato Arhanes and Pano Arhanes - are surrounded by groves of olive trees and fields of cultivated grapes. Most of the village houses are constructed from rough-cut quarried and field stone with terra cotta roofs. Most village streets and pathways are paved with similar stone and are narrow meandering passageways. In the main, though, this is a book of photographer's snapshots. During my frequent walkabouts in villages and countryside, whenever something caught my attention I took a 'snapshot'. As such, this is a book of memories I offer to share with you. |
