Encounters with Luther offers in one volume original primary research from an international and ecumenical pool of scholars. Brooks Schramm is Kraft Professor of Biblical Studies at Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg and Editor of the Seminary Ridge Review. He is the author of Martin Luther, the Bible, and the Jewish People, with Kirsi I. Stjerna, and The Opponents of Third Isaiah: Reconstructing the Cultic History of the Restoration.

Kirsi I. Stjerna is First Lutheran, Los Angeles/Southwest California Synod Professor of Lutheran History and Theology at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary and is Docent in the Theological Faculty at the University of Helsinki. She is an internationally recognized scholar of the Reformation and Luther. Among her many writings are Martin Luther, the Bible, and the Jewish People, with Brooks Schramm, and Women and the Reformation.
