He is especially remembered for bringing to life the beloved and long-revered tale of Alice in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and its sequel Through the Looking-Glass (1871).Willard, Nancy: - Nancy Willard is the author of two novels, Things Invisible to See and Sister Water, and eleven books of poetry. Her many books for children include A Visit to William Blake's Inn, which won the Newbery Medal in 1982, as well as receiving a Caldecott Honor. Nancy is a lecturer at Vassar College and lives with her husband in Poughkeepsie, New York. |
