Contributor Bio(s): Warner, Gertrude Chandler: - Gertrude Chandler Warner (1890-1979) is best remembered as the author of the Boxcar Children mysteries. As a child, she spent hours watching trains near her home and often dreamed about what it would be like to live in a caboose or freight car. In each story, she chose a special setting and introduced unpredictable, unusual, or eccentric characters to help highlight the Aldens' independence and resourcefulness. She lived in Putnam, Connecticut, until her death in 1979. Lilly, Aimee: -Aimee Lilly is an AudioFile Earphones Award-winning narrator who has been involved in the broadcasting and radio drama field since 1989.
