His analysis takes a fresh look at fundamental variables and breaks from centralist theory and practice towards a radically democratic perspective on surplus income and non-political control. An established author known for his Insight and Method in Theology, Lonergan received numerous honorary doctorates, was a Companion of the Order of Canada in 1971 and was named as an original member of the International Theological Commission by Pope Paul VI. Byrne, Patrick: - Patrick H. Byrne is a professor in the Department of Philosophy and director of the Lonergan Institute at Boston College. Lawrence, Frederick: - Frederick G.
