| Publisher Description: This monograph of the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education (AILACTE) presents perspectives of fifteen college presidents regarding teacher education in American liberal arts settings. As the decade of the 1990s unfolds, liberal arts colleges have an opportunity to make substantial new contributions to teacher education.
