Contributor Bio(s): Krech, Shepard: - SHEPARD KRECH III is a professor of anthropology and director of the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology at Brown University. He is a past president of the American Society for Ethnohistory and has been a fellow and trustee of the National Humanities Center. His many books include The Ecological Indian and Encyclopedia of World Environmental History.Hudson, Charles M.: - CHARLES M. HUDSON (1932-2013) was the Franklin Professor of Anthropology and History at the University of Georgia and was one of the foremost authorities on the history and culture of the Indians of the U.S. Southeast. His books include Black Drink and The Forgotten Centuries (both Georgia). |
