Contributor Bio(s): Forstenzer, Martin: - Martin Forstenzer learned to ski on Mammoth Mountain in the 1970s, shortly after he first moved to the Eastern Sierra. He lived in the region for more than two decades, spending summers hiking the Sierra Backcountry and winters improving his skiing at Mammoth. For more than a decade he was a freelance Sierra correspondent for the Los Angeles Times. Over the past five years he has been a freelance correspondent for The New York Times, covering news and writing feature stories about the region. |
