Publisher Description:

It Takes Men of Giant Faith to Face the Giants of Canaan.

After four hundred years of slavery in Egypt, the Israelites under Moses have escaped into the desert and are prepared to enter the land of Canaan that God had promised them. There's only one problem: It's crawling with giants. And these giants are the Seed of the Serpent, linked to the nefarious Nephilim before the Flood. They are called Anakim, Rephaim and others.

Only two men, Joshua and Caleb, have the faith to face these Nephilim giants whose murderous idolatry defiles the land. But first, they must establish a bridgehead across the river Jordan to launch their invasion.

But this land is the territory of King Og of Bashan, the last of the mighty Rephaim giants who worship the goddess of war, Ashtart. And Ashtart has plans to annihilate Israel with an evil occultic army.

The War of the Seed is climaxing in this first of two companion novels, including Caleb Vigilant.

Part of the Biblical Fantasy Series Chronicles of the Nephilim

Joshua Valiant is the fifth book of the Biblical Fantasy Series Chronicles of the Nephilim, an epic story that begins with Enoch and Noah and tells the Biblical storyline of the Genesis 6 Nephilim giants, hybrid offspring of the angelic Watchers mating with human women.

In Joshua Valiant, you'll discover:

- How the Nephilim giants of Genesis 6 are related to Israel's conquest of Canaan.

- The legend of the Anakim, Israel's fiercest enemies in Canaan, the Promised Land.

- The story of Og of Bashan, the mighty Rephaim giant mentioned in the Bible that fought Israel.

- The story of Rahab and how she fits into the plan of the Promised Seed of Abraham.

Learn About the Historical and Biblical Research Behind the Novel

Author Godawa shares the scholarly research that undergirds the fictional adventure. Joshua Valiant as an appendix that explores the Biblical background of satrys and centaurs in the Bible, winged fiery serpents, Og of Bashan last of the Rephaim giants, the giant Anakim sons of Anak, and other Biblical oddities.

Biblical Fantasy Based on History and Ancient Mythology

Joshua Valiant is written in the spirit of The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings, blending fantasy and mythopoeia with history to retell the Biblical narrative with a fresh perspective, making it come alive in a new way, while staying true to the original spirit of the Bible story.

It's like connecting the dots and filling in the story between the lines of what the Bible tells us.

A NOTE ON THE AGE APPROPRIATENESS OF THE NOVELS

Some Christians have asked what "rating" the novels have in terms of the portrayal of sex and violence. I would say the series is rated PG-13. The Chronicles do deal with evil behaviors that would be appropriate for mature teens and above. The violence in the Chronicles is like the book of Judges. The sexuality is like Song of Solomon, alluded to poetically, but obviously. The description of sexual evil is like Ezekiel 16, sometimes shocking, but never glorified. There is an occasional profane word or vulgarity like in Ezekiel 23, revealing spiritual wickedness.
