Contributor Bio(s): Winnik, From Javier Cruz: - Creating Luiza Brillante's look was an accomplishment that Javier is quite proud of, and drawing her in a mix of a graphic novel and a picture book was the very first book for him. He is always trying to grow in all that he does and that can be seen in Volume 2. He used larger pictures to help push the narrative within the first book, but with the growth of his artistic skills, he was able to tell the story visually much more concisely and with more detail and energy. The envronments are very much recognizable places in New York City and the body language and facial expressions are more visually present than in the previous book. The year between books has helped him be a better artist and you can see that all in the newest volume of "A Reason to Smile!" |
