Publisher Description: Tails Of Jaxx In Barkhamsted is a juvenile fiction, action adventure book. HIS COURAGE AND BRAVERY IN THE FACE OF DANGER MAKES JAXX A TRUE HERO. Jaxx, a Maltese dog from New York City, goes on a winter holiday with his parents to visit his Dad's sister, Aunt Lulu, in Barkhamsted, Connecticut, a quaint town in New England. Everything is a new adventure for Jaxx. He goes on a long train ride and leaves the big city for the first time. Jaxx misses the bright lights, busy streets and tall buildings. It takes a while for him to adjust to the quiet country. Jaxx makes new friends with a young boy named Colin, and Rufus, a gruff bulldog who lives next door to Aunt Lulu. Things take a strange turn when Aunt Lulu's cat Mikey, mysteriously disappears. Soon, other pets from town are gone without a trace. To honor his promise, Jaxx sneaks out at night and bravely sets out on a treacherous mission to find Mikey and the other missing pets. Jaxx's determination and courage leads him, with the help of his friends, into a perilous web of danger. As the trail of clues draws them closer to solving the mystery, they find themselves in a fight for their lives to find the kidnapped pets before they vanish forever. |
