Contributor Bio(s): Townsend, Una Belle: - Una Belle Townsend taught in the Marshall, Texas Public School District while earning her Master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is now retired, having taught in McAlester, Yukon, and El Reno, Oklahoma. She has four books published through Pelican and four with Doodle and Peck. In 2007, thanks to a special Centennial grant, Townsend was chosen to visit towns in Oklahoma with small populations who could not afford to have an author visit their library. As a former librarian, she enjoys reading to children and learning more about the great state of Oklahoma.Kastl, Vickie: - Vickie L. Kastl is a graduate of UCO with a BA in Education. She taught Art and English for thirty-nine years and was chosen SKIE K20 Innovative Teacher of the Year, Oklahoma Art Teacher in 1991, and has illustrated Clancy, Blazer's Taxi, and Simon's Birthday for Una Belle Townsend.
