Publisher Description: King Ade is a child ruler of a kingdom in what is now modern-day Lagos, Nigeria. The king relies heavily on the best flute player in the land, Kola, who lives in the royal palace and is often called upon to play for the king both day and night. Having such an important role gives Kola a strong sense of pride, but also a false sense of comfort as he believes no one can play the flute as well as he can. One day, when he is summoned by the king to play, Kola decides that he'd rather stay in bed. His decision ultimately brings about a surprising turn of events and circumstances for the entire kingdom. |
