Publisher Description:

Every step of a child is special through the eyes of a parent. The "Like" series of books lets the reader tag along as children discovery faith in God, the love of God, the presence of God and so much more.

In book one of the "Like" series "Like You and Me," faith in God is explained in a way we can all understand. This heartwarming story follows the journey of children from loving and trusting in the ones who care for them, to understanding the world around them, to knowing the love of and having faith in the One who made them.

Contributor Bio(s): Swan, C. J.: - "Almost every day when my son was a toddler, he would gather a stack of books, and we would sit on the floor together and read every single one. My love for children's books and stories began with this daily ritual. That love grew when my son, at age 3, entered day school, and I entered with him as a volunteer. Soon after, volunteering turned into a teaching position. I then returned to Texas Woman's University to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with an early childhood development endorsement. How children learn, what motivates them, inspires them and makes each of them unique - that's what ignited my desire to know everything I could about children, their development and their potential. Over the years, I have learned so much from my students and have loved telling them stories - often adlibbed in an inspired moment. My students told me stories too, and now I want to share some of our stories with a new generation of children. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did!"Zimmerman, Dana: - My love for art began when I was just shy of 2 years old. I was the strange little kid that would rather sit and draw than play with toys. With my ever-growing collection of pencils and markers, I loved to recreate the comic strips in the newspaper and the illustrations from my library books. My passion for drawing and painting continued through junior high and high school, and I went on to earn a degree from John Brown University in art & illustration. It is such a pleasure to illustrate children's books. When children let their imaginations take over, they can take even the most ordinary things and turn them into something wild, wondrous and impossible.
