Publisher Description: In this novel, the author addresses a different topic. This time, he takes on the biography of his father, Daniel, who lived his retirement years in Caracas and spent the last three years of his life bedridden in his room, due to a series of ischemic strokes. During this time, Daniel had to be fed and medicated through plastic tubes attached to his body, living a life which wasn't really any kind of life, waiting for a miracle which never came. This story is tinged with the adventurous life of Daniel and Dorila, from the very beginning of their romance when they met, touching on all the projects they undertook together in Zulia State, on the Costa Oriental of the lake which welcomed them like locals. Additionally, the author addresses the tempestuous political and social events that took place in the country throughout that period, and were in large measure, responsible for the family's suffering. |
