It is intended as a share book for children ages 5 thru adult. It is like paint by number, except without the numbers. You simply let your picture guide you by coloring in different shades of gray. Darkest shades get darkest colors, medium shades, medium colors and white to light areas get lightest colors. Soft core lead pencils are recommended. Colored pencils may be dipped lightly at the tip in petroleum jelly, when blending colors. When coloring your grayscale coloring page, start by doing a 2" x 2" area, coloring darkest areas first. You will be amazed at how your picture seems to have a 3D appearance. The different shades and layers of colors, will sometimes make you feel like an artist. You may want to frame your work. |
