Jack does not know his family heritage so is unaware that multiple births are traditional in his mother's line and when told he is to have twins, decides to marry Sandy and they start their lives together with the bare basics and a wage to match. Just before the birth of the supposed twins, he is informed that he is of mixed blood and warned that his children could be dark skinned. What he is not expecting is a third child; a black child. His life goes from abject poverty to a happy relationship with Sandy and his need to foster children. Jack understands their need to feel wanted and loved and strives to give as many foster children a life he never had. At the age of 18 years, Child Services allow him the information to trace his proper family and he discovers his true identity. |
