Publisher Description:
My late dad, the late Erastus Mwololo, was a great story teller. Growing up with my brothers, dad shared some of the funniest stories that I had ever heard as a kid. He shared most of these stories either before we went to bed at night or before the fireplace with other family members and kids in my rural village (that's country). Our eyes were wide open and focused giving him our undivided attention as he shared one of his many bed-time stories with us. I grew up enjoying listening to these funny short stories and that is why I decided to write this book. None of these stories are my dad's. They are all mine but I would like to dedicate these stories to his legacy of storytelling as a dad. Most of his stories had very important moral lessons in them that helped me and my younger brothers to view life differently. Do you have a dad that is a story teller? You are in good company. Are you a dad that wants to get into story-telling? You too are in the right place. Most of the stories I share are fictitious and are staged in the wild parts of Africa where we have an abundance of wild animals. I enjoy watching wild animals in their wild on National Geographic channel Wild. I have been to some of these beautiful and amazing wild animal reserves and have seen these animals out there in their kingdom. You will find these short stories funny but they are important lessons to learn from them right from our homes, workplaces and places that we interact more often. Put yourself in the place of these animals and you realize that life happens wherever we are. I am in no way trying to advertise a long trip or ' Safari ' to Africa but I sure hope that some of you who happen to read this book will someday make that dream trip to Africa to witness the wild animals in their wild. Enjoy the journey with me. Laugh if you have to and share the stories with your family, children, workmates, village and community.Thank you,
