Eccentric, absent-minded inventor Professor Branestawm embarks on a series of adventures with his friend Colonel Dedshott. Various machines are invented: a time travel-machine, a device to capture and tie up burglars, and a spring-cleaning machine. Inevitably, something goes wrong and Professor Branestawm is again in a pickle, exasperating his housekeeper Mrs. Flittersnoop and delighting listeners.

Norman Hunter (1899-1995) is the author of the Professor Branestawm series, which was originally created for a children's series on BBC Radio. The professor went on to appear in a series of thirteen books by Norman Hunter over the next fifty years, from 1933 to 1983.

Jarvis, Martin: - Martin Jarvis is one of Britain's most distinguished and versatile actors. He has narrated and produced audiobooks in the United Kingdom and is transitioning his narrating talents to audiobooks in the United States, as well.
