Publisher Description:
RIVER CLASS: A TRUE STORY OF THE RECKLESS AMERICAN YOUTH didn't tell the full story of Craig's ride. RIVER CLASS: THE WAY DOWN picks up where the first book left off. Life was too much for Craig to handle when he wrote the final chapter of River Class. It was paraphrased and left out many truths of life as a person faces adversity. Mental illness and social trauma sent Craig spiraling into psychosis, and The Way Down tells the story of Craig ride to rock bottom, and how he rose back to success and happiness. After the Katie Jones relationship ended, one last year in Morgantown was spent on the edge of reality. It began with a psychedelic day at Wonder Falls, a psychedelic day on the Upper Gauley River, and fasting for days during winter archery season before Craig went to work editing and publishing River Class. Laboring over his pride literary work would ultimately take him to his darkest days. It dragged him into weeks locked up in a mental hospital, and months in mental rehab. It was there where he finally was able to find himself, and resolve his spirituality. He got away from drugs long enough to resolve all the problems in life that he had been hiding from. Craig overcomes his demons. After finding truth in the spiritual journey life had taken him on, he finds success and happiness. This is the epilogue, the rest of the story about The Way Down.
