Publisher Description:
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Immigration to Canada is the process by which people migrate to Canada to reside permanently in the country. Many, but not all, become citizens. People have been migrating to the geographic region of Canada for hundreds of years, with rates of immigration and source countries varying throughout time. After 1947, domestic immigration law went through many major changes, most notably with the Immigration Act of 1976, and the current Immigration and Refugee Protection Act from 2002. This book studies various aspects of immigration to Canada including the immigration and refugee protection act, illegal immigration, and the immigration and refugee board of Canada. Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.
