Publisher Description:
Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online.

The exploration of Jupiter has to date been conducted via close observations by automated spacecraft. It began with the arrival of Pioneer 10 into the Jovian system in 1973, and, as of 2008, has continued with seven further spacecraft missions. All of these missions were undertaken by NASA, and except one, all have been flyby missions, that is they take detailed observations without the probe landing on or entering the orbit of Jupiter. These probes make Jupiter the most visited of the Solar System's outer planets. This book studies exploration of Jupiter including Pioneer 10, New Horizons, Galileo, and Juno.

Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.
