Contributor Bio(s): Birch, Brad: - Brad Birch is the writer in residence at Undeb Theatre and is a member of Theatre503's 503 Five. Over the past five years, Brad has had work produced by Theatre Powys, Sherman Cymru, Theatre503, Dirty Protest, the Royal Court, the Arcola and the Lyric. Brad is a graduate of the Royal Court's Young Writers' Programme and subsequent progressions including the prestigious "Supergroup" and was a member of Sherman Cymru's New Writers' and Advanced Writers' groups in 2010. He is currently writing his first novel. Brad Birch has led many workshops with young people in a directing and writing capacity. He has also been involved in various community accessible arts projects run and facilitated by local government funded organizations and is a regular speaker at arts events in Mid Wales. He has also spoken at Pimlico Academy in London on the importance of theatre today, young people's roles in theatre and the opportunities the arts provide for young people. He is currently studying towards a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the Open University. |
