She has a Fine Art degree from the University of Guelph and has illustrated over 20 picture books. Her studio The Pink Suitcase is located in her century home she shares with her husband, two children and dachshund Margaret. Jan is a painter, treasure hunter, hockey fan and tiny house lover. Her favourite animated character is Gru. Once introduced, the picture book genre captivated her imagination with its unique blend of story and illustration. Although she is an international literary agent, editorial consultant, and bookseller, her passion for creating her own books remains.
