Contributor Bio(s): Nicholson, Steve: - Professor Steve Nicholson is a professor in Twentieth Century and Contemporary Theatre and Subject Director for Theatre within the School of English at the University of Sheffield, UK. Much of his work explores relationships between theatre, society and political contexts. He is also interested in contemporary playwrights and practitioners who challenge traditional conventions about character, narrative and performance.McDonnell, Bill: - Bill McDonnell is Senior Lecturer in Theatre and Performance at the University of Sheffield, UK. He has published on British political and activist theatres of the twentieth century and is the author of several studies, including Theatres of the Troubles: theatre, resistance and liberation in Ireland (UEP, 2008) and Social Impact in UK Theatre (Arts Council England, 2005). He contributed a chapter on John Arden for Modern British Playwriting: the 1960s, edited by Steve Nicholson (Methuen Drama 2012).Babbage, Frances: - Frances Babbage is Reader in Theatre and Performance at the University of Sheffield, UK.
