Harold J. Bershady is professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is the author of Social Class and Democratic Leadership, Max Scheler on Feeling, Knowing and Valuing, and co-editor of After Parsons: A Theory of Social Action for the Twenty-First Century.
