He currently covers college hockey and other sports for The Free Press newspaper in Mankato, Minnesota, and has won awards for his stories from the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. He is also the author of several sports books, including The Best of Everything Football Book and The Ultimate Guide to Pro Football Teams.
