Publisher Description:
When twelve-year-old Sherza, an exceptional student, walks out with his father in Saint Louis, Missouri, he sees a boy about his age who appears to be homeless. Sherza, a Christian, wants to help him, although his father is hesitant. He warns Sherza that the child could be involved in criminal activity, and does not want him involved with anyone with that background.

Sherza persists in his desire to help the young boy and, going against his own better judgment, Sherza's father gives his son some money to share with the child. Sherza introduces himself to the thirteen-year-old boy named Cos, who is in fact homeless. Sherza and Cos immediately become friends, and Sherza learns about Cos' life, including his involvement in illegal activities, such as theft, robbery and drug dealing.

Then Sherza and Cos are kidnapped, and Sherza is separated from his family. What can he do to save himself? Is there any way, with all of the gangster members around him, that he can escape poverty and crime, and possibly help spawn a Ghetto Revival?
