Contributor Bio(s): Mulzet, Ottilie: - Ottilie Mulzet is a translator and literary critic. Her translation of Laszlo Krasznahorkai's Seiobo There Below(New Directions) won the Best Translated Book Award in 2014 from Three Percent, the online literary magazine of Open Letter Books. Borbely, Szilard: -Szilard Borbely (1963-2014) is widely acknowledged as one of the most important poets to emerge in post-1989 Hungary. He worked in a wide variety of genres, including essay, drama, and short fiction, usually dealing with issues of trauma, memory, and loss. His poems have appeared in English translation in the American Reader, Asymptote, and Poetry. Forthcoming as well is his verse collection Berlin-Hamlet from NYRB Classics. Borbely received many awards for his work, including the Attila Jozsef Prize. Langton, James: -James Langton, an Earphones Award-winning narrator, trained as an actor at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and later as a musician at the Guildhall School in London. He has worked in radio, film, and television, also appearing in theater in England and on Broadway. He is also a professional musician who led the internationally renowned Pasadena Roof Orchestra from 1996 to 2002. |
