Publisher Description:
Zeke stood on the porch at the Silver Wolf ranch headquarters as he read the telegram. It was from Bob Douglas requesting his presence in Sacramento soon as possible. Looking at the cloud-laden sky from which a light cold drizzle was falling, he decided that he would take the stage from Tucson the next day. About halfway through his trip in what appeared to be a bungled holdup the stagecoach toppled over the edge of a cliff. The wreck killed seven people. Zeke was the only survivor but he did not know who he was, where he was going or where he came from. A blizzard blew in that night and as he tried to find his way out of the mountains, he discovered a dead woman in a cave with her baby. Carrying the baby, he finally made it to a settlement called Agua Caliente. Agua Caliente was a haven for outlaws and Zeke soon learned that there was more to the wreck than he first thought.
