Publisher Description:

In this spicy text, author Andr' Cajun, the "Sage of the Bayou," captures the scandalous past of New Orleans' infamous Basin Street. Particularly focusing on the harlots and corrupt police force of the area, the book includes notes on the street's location, history, and cultural impact, including its important influence on music. Complete with illustrations from the artist Zamb, this is a reprint of the original book published in the 1950s.
