Contributor Bio(s): Davis, David: - David Davis is the author of almost a dozen books with Pelican, including Jazz Cats, a 2002 Children's Book Choice selection; Librarian's Night Before Christmas; Nurse's Night Before Christmas; Ten Redneck Babies: A Southern Counting Book; Texas Aesop's Fables; Texas Mother Goose; and Texas Zeke and the Longhorn. Four of his books have earned spots on the Accelerated Reader list. He resides in Fort Worth, Texas.Jackson, Shelley: - Shelley Ann Jackson holds degrees in communication design and illustration at the university level and teaches art and design courses. A member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Jackson has published several acclaimed children's books.Crosby, Jeff: - Jeff Crosby is a writer and illustrator who teaches at the Museum of Fine Arts Austin. In 2008, he was selected as a ForeWord Juvenile Nonfiction Book of the Year Gold Medal recipient for Little Lions, Bull Baiters & Hunting Hounds: A History of Dog Breeds, which he co-wrote and illustrated with his wife, Shelley Ann Jackson. His artwork has appeared in Scholastic Magazine and the New York Times. He currently resides in Austin, Texas, and is a member of several art associations, including the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
