Publisher Description:
Before you buy your next children's book, there is something you may consider:

It was 1998 and I knew what it was to be perfect for math class or economics for that matter. But since 1989 I was intrigued by literature revealed by a Ph.D. Professor in my early years. I had enjoyed writing creatively in my senior year and wasn't sure what direction to take.

During spring, I would take a break and bike ride to Cedar Beach on Long Island from home. And, at that time, I had a classical tape my dad gave me.

A month after graduation, my dad handed me a local newspaper ad for the contest for the next great Long Island writer. It was thrilling. So, I decided to write a children's story in their theme of historical fiction to be best to catch their interest. I toiled as I rode back and forth to the beach while listening to my tape.

Remember, I knew perfect math and had quirks with literature. Though, the music seemed to join the words, and then become my own background theme. It wasn't long before the music was playing as the children wove in and out of trees in the moonlight. And Beethoven's, "Moonlight Sonata," flowed to the wave of words.

I had a letter arrive rejecting the manuscript. Yet, I had the confidence that someday the story would be right for even a five year old (perfection ). I kept on sucking up the pressure to make it right and wonderful. My main objective was to use the elements of literature to bring children close to our childhood and the magic fox. And tell our fantastic true story as well as that of Colonel Benjamin Tallmadge and his Dragoons. The location was right behind our house within the farmer's field all along

It is my passion to tell this story about my childhood.
