Contributor Bio(s): Leavitt, Sarah A.: - Sarah A. Leavitt is a curator at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., where her exhibition subjects have included low-income renter eviction, community policing and the history of the parking garage. She is the editor of Taliesin Diary: A Year with Frank Lloyd Wright (Norton, 2013) and the author of From Catharine Beecher to Martha Stewart: A Cultural History of Domestic Advice (University of North Carolina Press, 2002). Leavitt graduated from Wesleyan University and holds a PhD in American studies from Brown University. She lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband and son. |
