Publisher Description:
Crochet for Babes-to-Tots. All you need--nothing to cut out, no fabric or yarn to waste--JUST a HOOK and some THREAD or YARN. Can be done anywhere, anytime. NOTE: Crochet stitches are knotted and not woven, extremely durable--unlike knitting, which is soft and pliable. Crochet is best for outer garments subject to hard wear or biting cold.Intermediate skills required here. Culled from public domain internet sources, this anthology was recomposed with color introduced, and THIRTY patterns to warm and protect an infant or toddler. Crochet patterns scatter when in sheets of paper; one can buy one pattern on-line and the cost to print and mail it runs $6-$7. Free patterns on-line are unformatted and difficult to follow. So I decided to consolidate and offer 30-90 recomposed and colored COLORED patterns for the cost of printing, and leave out transportation costs. This series of 8 volumes when completed will include four for Crochet and four for Knitting, about 800 patterns in all, a few dating back to 1850s. These are beautiful designs, but practical too. The NEXT volume in the series will be Volume 2, Crocheting for the Family.
