He was a professor at the University of Michigan and has served as a board member for a number of corporations in the US, Asia, and Europe. Kim has coauthored numerous articles that have appeared in publications such as the New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review. His articles on strategy and multinational management have appeared in a variety of academic journals, and his book, Blue Ocean Strategy, is an international bestseller. Kim has received a number of awards and accolades, and has been recognized as one of the world's most influential authors in the field of global strategy.
