Her extensive list of credits includes leading roles in film, theater, and audio productions, as well as in various miniseries on all the major television networks and in such productions as Masterpiece Theatre's Sherlock Holmes and Rumpole of the Bailey. Travers, P. L.: -P. L. Travers (1899-1996) was a drama critic, travel essayist, reviewer, lecturer, and author of the Mary Poppins books. She wrote several other books for adults and children, but it is for the character of Mary Poppins that she is best remembered. |
