Publisher Description:

The quintessential self-made man, master of brand identity, and award-winning executive-KISS's Gene Simmons-shares his manifesto for business success.

KISS did not become one of the most successful rock bands in history by accident. Long before they first took the stage, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley had a clear-cut operating plan for their business. Over the past forty years, KISS has sold over 100 million CDs and DVDs worldwide and manages over three thousand licensed merchandise items. In addition to KISS, Simmons' lucrative ventures include two hit reality shows, a professional sports team, a restaurant chain, and a record company. A recipient of the Forbes Lifetime Achievement Award, this brilliant executive runs all of his businesses on his own-no personal assistant, few handlers, and as little red tape as possible.

In Me, Inc., the marketing and finance wizard gives aspiring entrepreneurs the critical tools they need to succeed. Simmons teaches you how to build a solid business strategy, harness the countless tools available in the digital age, network like hell, and be the architect for the business entity that is you. Inspired by The Art of War, Me, Inc. is organized around thirteen specific, easy-to-understand principles for success, drawn from Simmons' own triumphs and failures.

From finding the confidence necessary to get started to surrounding yourself with the right people to knowing when to pull the plug and when to double-down, these principles can help you attain the freedom and wealth of your dreams.

Varvatos, John: -

John Varvatos is one of the world's most renowned menswear designers. Born and raised in Detroit, John was exposed to rock & roll from an early age. The spirit, electricity, and edginess intrinsic in the personal style of iconic bands such as Led Zeppelin, the Who, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Iggy Pop & the Stooges, and MC5, among others, influenced the evolution of his design sensibility and is a unifying force in every expression of his award-winning brand today. In fall 2008, John opened his Bowery NYC boutique in the space that formerly housed the seminal underground music club CBGB's. He pays homage to the spirit of the legendary club, which closed in 2006, with ongoing performances that have included the likes of Guns N' Roses, The Roots, Paul Weller, The Wallflowers, and more. Since 2009, John has hosted New York Nights, a monthly radio show that includes music by and interviews with various artists who have influenced his career in fashion on SIRIUS XM's Spectrum channel. He lives in New York City. A look at rock & roll fashion through the eye of menswear designer John Varvatos and the lens of some of the most iconic photographers of all time, John Varvatos offers music fans and fashion aficionados a unique perspective on rock & roll and its influence on the designer's work as well as on style and popular culture.
