Publisher Description:
The ODY trilogy was written by a girl, starting at her age of 13, in a period of 6 years. With fantasy and wisdom, Ody, after experiencing a kind of Odyssey, becomes to his surprise the King of Existence (first book, called Ody), upon which he has to solve many problems in the world of four existences (above-existence, below-existence, existence and non-existence) (second book, called King Ody), and later solving the problems of existence by building a solve-tower, (third book, called Ody's Daughter), helped by the elf Toodle and troubled by his so-called daughter Espra. This complete fairy-tale trilogy, full of symbolism and humour, of in total 63 chapters can be read to children one chapter each evening, thus stimulating their imagination and helping the parents to better understand their world of fantasy. The experiences with the Dutch edition are that children understand immediately the symbolisms and humour ("If it depended on me, I would call it right away the best, best children book of the whole world," wrote a girl of 9 years old), which is more difficult for most of the adult readers. Of the first book exists a Korean, Catalan and Spanish edition, the Korean one was selected for a series of children books of different countries, with for France "Le Petit Prince" of Saint Exup ry. These four editions were directly translated from the Dutch edition, which were published under the pseudonym of Jony Dubosch. At present a complete Russian translation is also available as e-book with XinXii ebooks.
