Publisher Description:
In 2012 the architect and urban planner Emanuel Dimas de Melo Pimenta launched the first course of space architecture in Brazil - which was one of the first of the world - at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of USP University of S o Paulo, in the city of S o Paulo. Emanuel Pimenta, who coined the concept of virtual architecture in the early 1980s, elaborated a method to design buildings in the outer space, which is described in the book. Not only important for space projects, this book contains precious information for architectural design also on planet Earth. It also includes a timeline with the history of space projects since hundreds of years ago. With more than 130 illustrations, the book has a presentation by the famous telematic artist Artur Matuck and an introduction by the architect Bruno Padovano.
