The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) conducted, at the request of a confidential employee, a health hazard evaluation at an aluminum beverage can manufacturer. Employees were concerned about exposures to metalworking fluids (MWFs), inorganic acids, printing inks, and noise. Employees reported having skin rashes, headaches, fatigue, and upper respiratory symptoms. The findings/recommendations are outlined in this document.
