Publisher Description:
Welcome to the Book of Revelation. A whole lot of us are wondering what is going to happen in "the latter days" after reading John's prophesies in the Book of Revelation: - Are we really going to experience the "final battle of Armageddon" where good fights it out with evil? - Are we really going to experience Jesus' Second Coming? - Is the Kingdom of Heaven really going to become the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth? - Are we really going to see an "Old Age" replaced with a "New Age"? These and many other questions are all directly addressed in this modern interpretation of Revelations. But this is not just one more effort to substitute a few new meanings for 300 symbols that John used in his Revelation. We've had 2,000 years to try all those possibilities, and we have not come up with even one credible interpretation of THE BOOK OF REVELATION. That is because there is really only one source of these answers who can interpret John's symbols for us--Jesus. So this book draws on five modern revelations that Jesus has either authored or authorized in about the the last century to prepare us for his Second Coming. But this book does not try to prove to you that these revelations came from Jesus. That is impossible. We can't even "prove" that Jesus lived. All we have is a vague and distorted picture of what he did when he was alive, and we only have one credible historical description from the Jewish historian Josephus. The reason that Christianity is the largest religion on earth and that the Bible is the world's best seller is that Jesus embodied more truth in his teachings than any other religion. So he has won our allegiance over the centuries. Therefore, we as Christians don't even ask each other: "Can you prove that Jesus said and did all these things?"--because the answer is "No, we can't." Instead, we study his teachings because they are the highest truths that we know, and we do it without proof of any kind, except our own personal witness.
