Publisher Description: Started in 2005, the Manufacturing Interoperability Program has seen an investment of roughly 25-30 full-time staff who have researched, developed, and deployed standards, tools, techniques, and testing environments --- helping manufacturing enterprise systems to integrate more easily. Program management, leadership, and strategic direction was set by the Manufacturing Systems Integration Division s (MSID) Chief. With a budget of approximately $4-6 million annually, the goal of MIP was to equip U.S. manufacturers with the technical guidance and testing support needed to interoperate in today s global, heterogeneous manufacturing world. This report summarizes the work done under the Manufacturing Interoperability Program. |
