Publisher Description:
'Prayers for a Child' is for any child (or grown up young at heart), who feels the need to reach out for help to someone who will always listen, that person is our Creator (Yahweh). Sometimes we are in difficult situations, and prayer, or talking to Him, may offer some comfort, and solutions to our problems. At other times, joyous, we may want to thank and praise our Maker for His blessings to us, and for saving us. We learn to love Him in return, and we learn and love and pray for our loved ones, people we are concerned for, and even those who hurt us as we forgive them. Through prayer we talk to our heavenly Father, and He is 'well pleased', especially if we come to Him through His son Jesus Christ, who said 'suffer the little children to come unto me'. He loves all children, young and old, and waits for us to come to Him, and love as He does. This book is pocket-sized and affordable for many children. Any child can relate to it, whether in comfortable suburbia, war torn zones, dire poverty, suffering abuse, bullying, loneliness or sickness; or who is simply trying to reach someone who will listen to their inner most prayers. It is an international prayer book - for any child regardless of race, colour, culture, creed, that can find in it something that speaks of their heart-felt thoughts and feelings. Both children and adults have contributed to it, as well as well known prayers, psalms and songs. Only 21 prayers are entered in, representing the 21 years it took me to complete my first published book 'Perfect Circles vol 1 - an exploration of faith and relationships with YHWH (Yahweh) - our heavenly Father. And the numbers 3 and 7 are sacred in Judaism, Christianity and Islam - of whose root is founding Father Abraham, of the Middle East. I pray for interfaith dialogue and peace amongst our Creator's people, especially for the world our children live in. For, the children are our future. We should treasure them, and love them, and bring them up in love and respect of our Creator and each other. As we are blessed by Him, I pray we teach the little ones to bless and love others too.
