Publisher Description: Billy Waring is a young boy living with Granny May in her country cottage. Granny May is on her own as Billy's grandfather, John, was posted missing in action in France during the Second World War. While storing his tools away in the old dilapidated tool-shed after a day working in the orchard he makes an unusual discovery. Stored in an old straw-filled box he finds a human skull. When Billy picks up the skull and looks into its eye-sockets he finds himself transported to another time - the Second World War. His first brief experience leaves him shocked and running from the tool-shed but he is soon intrigued enough to return. Doing so leads him to have a number of amazing adventures through the eyes of the skull's original owner. |
