Publisher Description:
Marriage is a trinity: the husband, the wife and God And this formula is everlasting. The Spirit that is God is in the wife as much as He is in the husband; and He is the eternal bond between a husband and his wife, and He does not depart from them-as one-as long as they both live. That is why marriage becomes the new identity of the man and the woman that are brought together in marriage; and not simply a relationship between them. Marriage is who the two have become: one and inseparable, unless by the power of death or unfaithfulness. And only God who made them one could separate them into two again, because He is the tie that binds every marriage on the face of the earth-believers and non-believers alike, because all mankind belongs to God Marriage is a type for the church. God designed marriage to lead mankind to holiness and salvation. And after Adam and Eve disobeyed God and derailed God's original plan for humanity, God rebuked them and commanded each to stay within his/her respective authority in the marriage: To the wife, God charged, "... Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." (Genesis 3:16). And to the husband, God charged, "Because you listened to your wife and ..."" (Genesis 3:17-19), meaning, "Because you abandoned your authority and responsibility and followed your wife instead of leading your wife and being responsible for her and ..." God is saying to the husband to take seriously his authority and responsibility over his wife and family, and be prepared to account to God about everything in his family; and to the wife, to be submissive to the husband so God can bless everything they do in the marriage.
