| Publisher Description: During this reporting period, we issued several reports related to homeland security. Our review of EPA's implementation of its Radiation Network system, which monitors environmental radioactivity in the United States, disclosed weaknesses involving broken monitors, late filter changes, monitors that have not been installed, and unresolved contracting issues. Our review of EPA's National Security Information program found that the Agency can create, receive, handle, and store classified material needed to fulfill its responsibilities related to homeland security, although we noted some areas for potential improvement. |
